back to Jackson the journey home begins

We left Yellowstone this Morning stopped for a short easy hike. Grabbed some sandwiches and ate by a lake.arrived back in Jackson waiting for hotel room as I write this post on my phone. One more night in the old west than back east. ENJOY the pics 

Lunch in Montana and Yellowstone pic

Well the good news is that the old faithful lodge has WiFi. So here I am in Yellowstone. Many sites to see and up loaded a few pictures below.  So many geysers and hot springs. We took a two hours walk this morning just see the ones close to us. We left the part for lunch today and went to a small town called West Yellowstone. We had lunch their in Montana. West Yellowstone is a western themed O.O.B 

We saw a bison in the park by one of the springs this morning, the pictures is below. Amazing vistas all the time out here in the west. The smells are interesting too geysers give off a sulfur rotten egg smell so I learned to stay out of the drifting stench.

a few more sites in the grand Tetons

Well another day going around the Grand Tetons. The views and walks in the woods are great. Got a great view of the big valley. Also so many more spots for happy little trees. We are off to Yellowstone  tomorrow for a few days around the geysers. May not have any internet or cell coverage for a few days. Will post more as soon as I can connect. 

The Grand Tetons hiking to the snoe

Today we started to hike into the mountains toward the snowy glaciers. We asked how far the trail went we were told Idaho. We turned back before we got to Idaho.   We made it to over 9000 ft. Amazing to be so high up and still nowhere near the top of the mountain. Also the name of the first outlook I was hoping to see the Fonz and the gang. Well ate like real cowboys for supper at a Thai restaurant. Well that it for now from the Old West. 

grand Tetons and snake river

Started with long hike today around lake jenny. Then boat ride across the lake. Hiking was like being inside a Bob Ross painting. The views just get better and better. This evening to a boat ride down the snake river. Saw a couple of moose and eagles. Well more fun to come out in the old west.

Gone West

Left early in morning nice flight out to Jackson Hole. Ate buffalo burger for lunch. It was amazing. Exploring the town today hiking tomorrow.
